摘要：

We review recent progress in the study of Euler-Poisson system, which can describes dynamics of either the two-fluid theory in a plasma or a gaseous star.

主讲人简介：

郭岩教授于1987年在北京大学数学系获得学士学位，1993年在美国布朗大学获得数学博士学位。1996年至今在布朗大学应用数学系先后担任助理教授、副教授和教授，现为布朗大学应用数学系主任。郭岩教授，是国际偏微分方程研究领域的著名专家和Kinetic理论的国际学术带头人之一，发表学术论文100余篇，其中在数学四大期刊《Ann. Math.》《J. Amer. Math. Soc.》《Invent. Math.》发表论文4篇，在国际权威数学期刊《Comm. Pure App. Math.》《Duke Math. J.》《Adv. Math.》《Comm. Math. Phys.》《SIAM J. Math. Anal.》《Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.》《J. Funct. Anal.》等发表论文90余篇。2013年，在第六届华人数学家大会上作一个小时特邀报告。2017年入选美国数学会Fellow。
